springtime heroes: lemon, lavender, & peppermint
I don’t want to rub it in, but here in Wisconsin we’re a few weeks ahead of the Northerners for spring!
Growing up in Maine and living there for 30 years, it's usually a wayyyyyssss into "normal spring" for everyone else before we need to think about this stuff!!! Kind of snuck up on me this year!
For me, Spring brings a little push-pull of feelings:
// My fave season is “changing seasons”, so I love this time of year!!! (yes, I get 4 fave seasons a year)
// My body revolts when everything starts to pop and you can see the grass again!
This combo has been EVERYTHING for me.
I don’t like to take unnecessary meds, so I used to suffer through it squinty eyed and with a box of tissues.
Now, I smell amazing AND can support my body through it naturally by giving it what it needs!!!
the three ways to use it
The good stuff is equal parts lavender, lemon, and peppermint! Here's how I love it!!
// Roll it on my wrists, neck, behind ears, over sinuses, nose .... early and often!
// Diffuse it all day errrry day... like barely anything else goes in the diffusers the next month or so .... even while we sleep!
// I drink one Vitality drop in my water! It will linger in your glass or bottle for 2-3 refills!
the mother of all tips
Take an empty YL bottle. Fill it up with 1/3 Lemon, 1/3 Lavender, 1/3 Peppermint (or Vitality Oils)
You’re ready to go!!! Each single drop now contains 1/3 each LLP!!!! Brilliant, I know!!
Fill up your rollers and drop in your diffuser without doing pesky things like tracking down all the bottles and counting!
Lawd knows one drop of each is too much in one glass of water, and try breaking off 1/3 of a drop of each manually ..... #cantdoit
the science
Expert educator Jen O’Sullvian broke it down like this after talking with Dr Woolley about it:
Lemon Vitality help supports your lymphatic system
Peppermint Vitality is a pusher and very volatile and will have a cooling sensation but will push those oils in
Lavender Vitality is really helpful with the seasonal stuff and promoting a sense of openness within your breathing sensation.
All together, they’re this perfect little trio!!
happy happy spring time!
Well, time to get my Seasons Blend on!!!! Be well, my friends!!!
Let's be friends!!!

THE USUAL DISCLAIMER:
Always start low and go slow when using oils for the first time! And quality counts! I, personally, only use Young Living because they're a company I trust and have the Vitality line of oils labeled for Internal use.
